MOBILIZE, EQUIP, EMPOWER to make a difference
It is estimated that as much of 60% of the population of the Caribbean falls in the under 35 age group. Unsubstantiated statistics also suggested that as much as 70% of children across the region will grow up not knowing or not having a positive relationship with their fathers. Of course this situation is not without problems of all sorts.
Caribbean Connect recognizes the social and spiritual impact on these young people and is making the attempt to preserve future generations of young men with special needs by touching them with the love of Christ.

PARTNERING WITH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TO ASSIST SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS
"Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then train them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”

TOUCHING LIVES IN OUR JERUSALEM
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” 16 Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.
There is the tendency to blame children for the irresponsibility of parents and in these instances children are the ones who get the raw end of the deal.
Imagine just for a moment having to go to school without eating anything substantial for the day or for the five days you are in school? Would you be so hungry that you cannot pay attention or maybe your hunger turns to frustration which drives you to become disruptive in the class. Most teachers do not know your situation so they branded you as a problem child and constantly threatening suspension or at worst expulsion! Can you believe that large population of students in our schools around the Caribbean have this experience everyday?
DO THEY NEED TO KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST?
With your partnership Caribbean Connect is able to touch as many of these lives as possible.
Last summer Water’s Edge Baptist Church from Houston, TX, sent a well-trained, culturally sensitive team of young people and adults to partner with us to reinforce True Love Waits principles to students from All Saints Secondary School. What a profitable enriching time. God sent two other partners including an orthopedic surgeon who not only encouraged the students in righteousness but blistered his feet getting down dirty playing football without shoes as some of them do. The crafts and game time focused on making wise choices and recognizing their supreme value to God the Father. READ MORE

God's kingdom does not consist of what a person eats or drinks. Rather, God's kingdom consists of righteousness and peace, as well as the joy that the Holy Spirit gives.
